Unlike typical ambient soundscapes, this album features multi-layered, melodic songs with a complexity sometimes compared to symphonic works. It is often classified as World Music or World Fusion.
The title track, "Dancing with the Muse," gained significant popularity through its inclusion in the influential lounge compilation Buddha-Bar IV (mixed by David Visan) in 2002.
